Skiing & Snowboarding in Hakuba
Freestyle
Hakuba has some great parks. The best are at Hakuba 47 and Yanaba. The 47 pipe is quite nice and gets better every year but the range of jumps is superb including usually a 12m kicker, a couple of 8m kickers, a spine, some tabletops, and an assortment of smaller jumps for learners. And for the jibbers, you're well catered to with a variety of rails and boxes (straight, kinked, rainbow, s-shaped, you name it!). Yanaba is slightly further down the valley to the south and is basically one long beginner run with a decent pipe and covered in a huge number of kickers, rails and spines, it's the ideal place to release the jibber in you!. Both 47 and Yanaba are popular with the locals and events often held at both. Most of the other resorts in Hakuba also have parks and pipes to varying degrees. Norikura, between Cortina and Tsugaike, has a particularly good pipe.
